| Sigh. How many well-intentioned cobwebs will the government start? The bottom line is everything is somewhere, and the Feds are well-advised to catalog their data more effectively, transparently, and accessibly...but the distance between THAT and reality is an uncrossable divide. The best we can ever hope for is more sites like this...more and more and more...so somehow, somewhere, some bright soul might develop a privately-funded consolidation portal that can search and retrieve the location of these assets. Oh, wait - isn't that Google? Wouldn't KML work for this? |
