| Thanks to the editors for providing a good preview in to Cloud Computing in Geospatial. When Adena was mentioning the origin of Computing in general, she has missed Grid Computing. I feel, there are major similarities to cloud, especially when you talk of infrastructure as a service. This is where I would like to hear from you - On the status of usage of Grid Computing in GIS, and what were the hindrances for adopting the same. And on how cloud computing can help to solve those problems in the area of computing. |
