Cloud computing is in its early stages as a new platform and the broader implications for widespread adoption have not been fully understood especially from the standpoint of whether it will save money, provide opportunities for applications to reach more people, and ultimately streamline the way software solutions are managed.

Editor in chief, Joe Francica, speaks with Mike Hickey, president of Pitney Bowes Business Insights (PBBI), who will provide his company's perspective on delivering both software and data solutions in a cloud environment. Hickey thinks cloud computing changes the relationship with clients but offers opportunities to be better able to form a community with users.
