chance.While this year has been full of exciting things, and it's tempting to reminisce, I think it's important to keep looking forward. It seems to me that you would prefer to know what "they" are doing now and are going to do next. What's really going on, and what do I need to know to keep pace with the present, and also stay ahead of the game?
In LI 2.0, we will make every effort to do just that - evolve and keep you ahead of the curve. Recently, you saw us publish articles on a range of relevant topics that you would not see in other publications within this industry. If we can provide you with actionable understanding from a wide perspective, you will know what to do, when to do it and where this knowledge is applicable.
Providing you with actionable understanding is a passion of mine, part of which comes from my perspective that there is a need to bring together the four elements of enterprise intelligence – location, market, business and competitive intelligence. If your enterprise only operates in some of these areas of intelligence, your enterprise IQ is probably in the double digits. LI 2.0 can help you raise that number.
Every New Year brings the expected advances in technology. As a society we have developed intolerance for the status quo. However, as the world races into the future, it is difficult not to be left behind. No one wants to bear a stigma like, "Are you (yawn) still running that old computer with just one monitor?" Worse yet, you wouldn't want to be caught wearing the T-shirt that says "Technically Challenged."
The LI objective is to keep you smarter and more competitive. To do so requires exploring not just technology, but visions of where we are going and what will happen when we get there. The understanding of where we are must include the ability to anticipate where we are heading. Therefore, LI Magazine must be, at the very least, slightly ahead of the present. Stay tuned as we move to version 2.0.
