Dr. Munroe performs custom research for clients within the Integras division of Claritas. His work focuses particularly on the creation of site evaluation systems, network optimization strategies, and market analysis. He has developed solutions for numerous Fortune 500 companies in the retail, restaurant, real estate, financial, telco, and utilities industries and has extensive experience in the application of spatial interaction and location-allocation models as well as spatial econometrics and statistical methodologies to business problems. Dr. Munroe has lectured extensively at applied, academic, and business meetings, delivered expert witness testimony on real estate matters in legal proceedings, is the author of several articles and reviews featured in such publications as The Annals of Regional Science, Business Geographics, National Petroleum News, GIS World, and Retail Ideas, and is a former university instructor of geography, spatial analysis, and statistical methods.
Dr. Munroe earned a Ph.D. in geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara and San Diego State University. He holds a master’s degree in geography from California State University, Long Beach and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine.
