Ali Safarnejad is a freelance consultant with over 10 years of experience in GIS and IT. He has been involved with indicator analysis and thematic mapping projects at several UN agencies including FAO, WHO, UNDP, and UNICEF. He has also consulted for the US State Department, the Internic, and multiple private technology firms. Active participation in indicator standards bodies and the OGC are his other means of staying informed and giving guidance to the evolving information technology infrastructure.
