Marian de Vries

Marian de Vries is researcher at the Geo-Database Management Center of the Section GIS Technology, OTB, Delft University of Technology. Her research focuses on distributed geo-information systems. Her main interest is how to construct (Web) service/client architectures that are based on interoperable software components and open standards.

Besides her main research activities she is involved in a number of projects for large data providers in the Netherlands: the Dutch Topographic Service, the Dutch Cadastre and AGI Rijkswaterstaat (Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management). She was co-developer of the GML prototype for the new TOP10NL vector data set of the Dutch Topographic Service.
