Catherine Burton

Catherine Burton is the Managing Partner of Endpoint Environmental.  She recently moved from San Francisco to West Los Angeles, where she was born and raised. Catherine has been closely involved with geographic information systems, photogrammetric and remote sensing technologies since 1999. Between 2004 and 2005, she worked at NASA’s Ames Research Center as a student intern and was promoted to project manager. In 2003 and 2004, she worked with DARPA during the Autonomous Ground Vehicle Race as Satellite Imagery Expert and Cartographer for team A.I. Motorvators. She has served commercial, non-profit, federal, state and local government agencies and had clients in the environmental, natural resources, defense, and educational industries. She has presented at ten industry-related conferences. Her work has been featured in ten publications including the 2008 issue of NASA Spinoff, NASA Tech News, GeoIntelligence Magazine, Directions Magazine, and Science News. Catherine earned her B.A. and M.A. in geography from San Francisco State University. She is a member of ASPRS, and BAAMA (Board Vice President and Journal Editor). She is the founding organizer of WebMapSocial, Silicon Valley.
