Dick Klavans has been a consultant since 1978. His clients have included large R&D intensive firms (Abbott Labs, Astra Zeneca, Dupont, Glaxo, Kellogg, Kraft, SmithKline Beecham and Unilever). He provides accurate maps of the scientific and technological environment based on a proprietary technology. His most recent contract with Sandia National Labs focused on improving the methodology for developing these maps of science. His maps of science were selected as the highlight of a six month exhibit at the science & industry branch of the New York Public Library and are archived in their permanent map collection.
