Jon Winslow is global portfolio director for the Location Intelligence Business at Pitney Bowes Business Insight (a merger of the former MapInfo Corporation Inc. and Group 1 Software Inc.) The Location Intelligence business is chartered to enable analytical and operational personnel, and GIS practitioners in both public and private sector organizations around the world to make intelligent decisions by providing timely and accurate answers to spatially relevant business questions through the gathering, presentation, visualisation and analysis of geographic and spatial data. As Global Portfolio Director, Winslow is responsible for defining and marketing PBBI’s Location Intelligence applications, systems and developer software. This software portfolio includes MapInfo Professional, Stratus, MapXtreme, Vertical Mapper and Confirm, among others.
An expert on the impact of location on consumer behaviour and business performance, Winslow is a 12-year veteran of PBBI. Prior to the acquisition of MapInfo Corporation Inc by Pitney Bowes Inc. and the subsequent merger with Group 1 Software Inc., Winslow held the role of Director, Business Development at MapInfo Corporation Inc. with responsibility for developing and maintaining partnerships and alliances with global enterprise software organisations. Prior to this, as Director of Product Management for the integrated Geodemographic and Business Intelligence product lines, Winslow was instrumental in developing and implementing the company's strategy and market expansion plans for predictive analytics, as well as the integration of the product lines' location capabilities with business intelligence platforms.
Before joining PBBI, Winslow worked at Claritas Inc. During his tenure at Claritas, Winslow managed business relationships with Claritas GIS business partners, including ESRI, Intergraph and MapInfo Corporation.
Winslow holds both a bachelor's and post-graduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
