Krzysztof (Kris) Kolodziej has spent the last several years in the industry on consulting projects dealing with the design and development of Web mapping and wireless location-aware applications. Specifically to indoor location, Kolodziej has been involved in projects pertaining to homeland security, virtual/augmented reality, city Wi-Fi initiatives, and spatial databases. Kolodziej received his graduate degrees from MIT in information technology engineering and geographic information systems, and an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in computer applications in geography and urban planning.
Kris has written a book titled Local Positioning Systems: LBS Applications and Services. The book shows how complimentary and alternative positioning technologies to GPS are used in the marketplace for developing LBS applications, including MRM, entertainment, information services, and security services.
