Paul Rutherford

Paul Rutherford has more than 15 years of experience in guiding and evangelizing long-term strategic technology visions and driving tactical execution. He was named Isilon's CTO in March 2008, having previously served as the company's vice president of engineering since October 2005.

Prior to joining Isilon, Paul served as CTO of ADIC, where he oversaw the development of the company's data protection, archive and high performance systems, including the ADIC StorNext File System. Prior to ADIC, Paul served at EMASS, where he led software development for high-capacity storage systems in the federal government and oil & gas industries. Paul has also held director-level positions in networking, I/O subsystems and storage management software at Cray Research, where he directed the development of the first high performance network file server based on low-end Cray supercomputers.

Paul received a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota.
