Job Description

Design, manage and/or conduct research projects. Conduct market analysis, provide actionable insights, and recommendations for financial and insurance products and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
·Project design and management
·Develop creative research-based solutions to strategic business problems
·Acquire relevant data and knowledge to support research efforts
·Track leading indicators of market, population, and household trends
·Communicate project progress to colleagues and management
·Work within teams to integrate findings and models into company operations

Job Requirements

·MBA or Masters degree in Demography, Geography, Geostatistics, Math, Statistics or related field preferred
·4 plus years experience in business environment
·Knowledge of Census population and household data, as well as other sources of demographic and geographic based-data
·Experience with demographic research, household/population forecasting and estimation techniques
·Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to design analysis plans using multiple internal and external data sources and Geographic Information Systems
·Ability to inquisitively and thoroughly evaluate a research problem
·Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively in writing, oral presentations, and through maps and graphics
·Ability to learn quickly and to apply new tools and techniques
·Insurance industry experience a plus
·Experience and proficiency with the following software: Tactician GIS, on-line GIS applications, Access, Oracle, SPSS/SAS; large database manipulation and interpretation preferred
