Job Description

Applied Geographics, Inc. (AppGeo) seeks a talented and motivated person to join the company’s state and local government team in Boston. AppGeo was founded in 1991 to provide GIS professional services to a wide-range of customers. The successful applicant will join a professional staff focused on applying GIS and related technologies to satisfy specific customer needs.

Job Requirements

This position requires hands-on GIS software skills to automate and manipulate data and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field and a minimum of 1+ year of professional experience using ArcGIS. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. Applicants should also have working knowledge in some of the following areas: data collection methods and GPS, data automation techniques, land records research, tax parcel and utility mapping. Experience with municipal government GIS is desirable. The position offers the opportunity for advancement. Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
