Farallon Geographics (http://www.fargeo.com ) is seeking a Front End UI Developer who is innovative and enthusiastic to join our geospatial systems integration team. We are a small and energetic group focused on integrating geospatial and map-based data with enterprise systems using innovative approaches (think mashups) as well as proven database and geographic information system (GIS) technologies.
We are looking for an energetic self-starter who can work on multiple concurrent projects and who brings solid website development skills and a strong sense of clean software design to our development team. The candidate will work primarily with HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, XML, XSLT and CSS. Experience with .NET is a plus but not required. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
The Front End UI Developer is responsible for:
• Designing Web 2.0 style UI’s which are intuitive and easy to use.
• Defining application requirements and working within a small team to develop geospatial web applications (including design, programming, documentation, development & testing).
• Training and technology transfer.
• Client and project management.
• Effectively communicating system requirements to both internal and external project team members.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
• Four-year college degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3 years experience developing interactive and compelling UI’s for web applications.
• Excellent working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming.
• Ability to hand code pages with JavaScript, HTML, XML and XSLT.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with any of the freely available mapping API’s (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft)
