Applied Geographics, Inc. (AppGeo) seeks a talented, dynamic, motivated application developer to join the company’s development team. AppGeo is an established technology and geographic information system (GIS) consulting firm, providing professional services to a wide-range of customers. The successful applicant will join a staff focused on applying GIS and related technologies to solving client needs.
Job Requirements
The position requires a minimum of two years experience of .NET development, specifically ASP.NET, using either C# or VB.NET. Experience with application development using major relational database systems, such as Oracle and SQL Server is also required. Preferred skills include proficiency with ArcGIS, Visual Basic 6 and COM. Experience in web technologies such as XML, ASP and client side JavaScript is also desired. An interest in scientific mapping is desirable.
The position demands a high level of interaction with project managers and clients, thus it requires excellent communication skills. Examples of work and code samples will be required.
