The GIS Programmer/Analyst works as part of a team and serves as the resident GIS expert. Responsible for maintaining all existing Geographic applications as well as developing new systems or functionality as new requirements arise. Provide production support and ad-hoc geographic analysis. Assist with the development and validation of requirements and specifications for geographic systems. Maintain and optimize existing Oracle Spatial database components including spatial indexes, triggers, and stored procedures. Currently converting from MapInfo to ESRI.
Job Requirements
Required experience includes knowledge and experience with the ESRI suite of GIS tools, Java within a J2EE framework, database analysis utilizing Oracle Spatial and SQL, and Oracle stored procedure manipulation using PL/SQL. Desired experience includes spatial analysis using MapInfo Professional, script development using MapBasic, web development utilizing MapXtreme Java, and geocoding using MapMarker.
