DESCRIPTION:
First American Flood Data Services, the nation's leading provider of flood zone determinations, is seeking a GIS Supervisor for its office in Austin Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership, management, coordination and support of all GIS production resources and activities
- Plan, organize and supervise the work of the GIS Technicians
- Plan, develop, implement and monitor work plans to achieve the organization's mission, goals and performance measures
- Supervise work of professional and technical staff
- Starting salary: $36,360 - $40,400, depending on skills and experience.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field of study or equivalent relevant experience
- 2+ years previous supervisory experience ??? Thorough knowledge of GIS software and familiarity with database software
- Knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques to the implementation, management and enhancement of GIS user applications, including functionalities, analytic tools and techniques, and quality control
- Knowledge of computer-aided drafting principles, practices and techniques
- Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees and others encountered in the course of work
- Ability to inspire direct reports to produce at high professional level
- Ability to plan, organize, integrate and supervise the work of professional and technical staff
