Job Requirements
Key Goals
Drive Autodesk’s industry standards vision and strategy.
Drive Autodesk’s standards bodies participation and liaison, including OGC, INSPIRE, EUROGI, IAI, ISO, FGDC, and others.
Participation and/or coordinate as appropriate Autodesk work in technical committees thru chairing, participating and/or hosting meetings.
Collect market requirements, understand customer needs as it relates to standards, and provide this information to various product management/engineering groups.
“Go to” person for standards implementation and evangelism (e.g., participate in any RFPs, sales needs, etc. as it relates to standards)
Characteristics.
Ability to work at business and technical levels.
Be able to work across Autodesk divisions, different companies.
Experience
10 years GIS industry or equivalent experience.
Technical degree in computer science or GIS.
5 years implementation or consulting experience.
50% travel.
Proven track record of successfully implementing complex, multi-organization projects.
