The main tasks in this challenging multi faceted position will consist of a wide variety of activities with a focus on providing high level consultancy and training to our clients in the field of nautical charting and related areas. Furthermore involvement in the marketing and sales activities of CARIS BV (Netherlands) including attending international conferences and exhibitions will be part of the position. The employee will be playing a key role in a dynamic international team working together on high level spatial problem solving and will be co-responsible for the technical coordination of customer services of marine user accounts.
Job Requirements
-Degree in Cartography, Hydrography, Geo-Science or Spatial Engineering.
-Knowledge of and working experience with nautical charting especially using the CARIS line of products will be an advantage.
-Capable of conducting high level consultancy and training
-Knowledge of and experience with Spatial Information Management and (Hydrographic) Database Technology will have a strong preference.
-Highly organized and flexible person capable of adapting rapidly to changes in technology.
-Willingness to travel frequently to other countries, mostly for short periods.
-Fluent in English and preferably a second language (German, French, Spanish).
-First class social and communicative skills.
