The Software Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, detailed design, and delivery of quality software components and products and to mentor Software Engineers in writing quality code.
Responsibilities:
* For each development project, work with key stakeholders to define project scope, including deliverables, goals & objectives and resource requirements
* Lead team to develop detailed designs for chosen solutions
* Take ownership of detailed project schedules within scope
* Optimize task assignments to developers based on their strengths and interest
* Work with other Team and Technical Leads to advance the use of new technologies, development tools and methodologies
* Assist with the assessment of individual and team performance
* Perform Code and Unit Test Reviews
* Develop Code and Unit Tests for key components
Job Requirements
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey advanced technical and scientific concepts effectively
* Strong people skills, ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people and gain consensus in a flat organization
* Strong technical skills, first-hand knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle
* Strong Knowledge of Developing Web Solutions using Microsoft .NET platform (3-4 years)
* Strong Knowledge of ESRI ArcObjects platform (at least 1-2 years of Project Experience)
* Knowledge of development on ESRI ArcGIS Server platform (at least one live project experience)
* Knowledge of UML and object oriented design
* Knowledge of database development (Oracle or SQL Server)
* Advanced problem solving skills, ability to develop effective long-term solutions to complex problems
* Proven ability to lead teams of 4-5 people
* Excellent verbal and written skills, team working and negotiation skills
Required Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computing or Engineering and relevant work experience
