* Participate in design sessions and review documentation to extract test scenarios
* Conduct the design, documentation, and execution of test plans and scripts
* Ensure that projects adhere to methodology and standard practices
* Track, monitor and resolve test issues, escalate issues according to risk
* Conduct test reviews, document test results
* Black box and white box testing required
* Manual testing in most cases, automated testing when possible
* Participate in all aspects of User Acceptance Testing
* Participate in Stress, Performance and Load testing
Job Requirements
* Passionate about Quality / test as a career
* Demonstrated proficiency with QA concepts, issues, methods, and tools and will demonstrate a detailed understanding of the software testing methods and software development processes used by an organization
* Ability to define test cases and scripts based on documented testing requirements and test plans, ability to prepare reports and analyses on tests and test results, and demonstration of a thorough knowledge of software testing issues, methods, metrics, and resources
* Demonstrated knowledge and skill using multiple scripting languages (e.g. TestComplete) that are commonly used in test script automation
* Extensive knowledge in software design, development, integration and testing methodologies specific to GIS and .NET based applications
* Develop accurate estimates of time and effort required to test complex software applications, including integration testing, system testing, security testing, performance testing, online help and user interface testing and regression testing
* Requires strong interpersonal and technical skills to work effectively and efficiently with development engineers in order to resolve software defects
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be a reliable team player devoted to completing assigned tasks on schedule with minimal supervision
* Relevant bachelors degree or equivalent with five or more years test experience with a minimum of three years hands-on testing
