ABI Research, a fast-growing industry research and advisory firm, is currently seeking a US-baed Senior Analyst to join our worldwide team covering global Commercial Telematics and Location Based Services markets. Successful candidates should have demonstrable knowledge of some of the following technologies and markets:
- Location-aware content and applications
- Map data, POI, real-time traffic information
- GPS/GNSS systems and devices
- Consumer telematics services
- Fleet management systems
- Navigation systems for commercial fleets
- Telematics service providers
- Cargo container security tracking
- Personal navigation devices
- Mobile location-based services
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide ABI Research clients with strategic advice and insights on industry trends
- Manage and develop ABI Research’s Commercial Telematics and LBS syndicated information services, providing guidance and input based on clients’ needs and industry trends
- Maintain a high industry profile, promoting ABI Research’s information services through regular contact with key industry players, participation in industry events, authoring articles, delivering presentations, and interacting with the press
- Support sales and business development activities by preparing customer-specific analysis, and participating in key meetings with clients, prospects, and partners
- Work on custom research and consulting projects, providing leadership on approach and methodology
- Author syndicated research reports, research briefs, market forecasts, and articles within one or more areas of personal expertise
Job Requirements
COMPETENCIES:
- In-depth knowledge of the Telematics and LBS sectors, including strong familiarity with major players, competitive dynamics, technology & business issues, and market trends
- Solid quantitative analysis capabilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-centric, open-minded approach to solving business and analytical problems
- Experience in product management, new product development, product marketing, market research, or industry analysis is strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30% of the time, including regular trips to ABI Research offices in New York plus client visits and industry events
- At least 5 years industry experience; market analysis experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
This position can be remote from a home office or based in one of ABI Research’s US offices: New York, NY; Oyster Bay, NY; Scottsdale, AZ.
