Are you an experienced GIS professional who has an interest in designing and building the next generation of the ArcGIS product line? ESRI is seeking technically savvy individuals with insight gained from their experience using GIS and who have the ability to ensure the usefulness of GIS applications.
Responsibilities
Team with development programmers on software project teams to build new software releases
Design, develop, analyze, test, document, release, and support ESRIs ArcGIS software
Capture the methods and apply best practices for using GIS software in various user scenarios
Enhance product quality
Identify and help to define new software functions required by users to solve their problems
Develop and document software tools and GIS methods
Identify and define GIS workflows
Test ArcGIS software
Plan for future releases
Job Requirements
Five or more years of experience implementing, applying, and using GIS in a number of advanced implementations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field
Strong teamwork skills
Recommended Qualifications
A high level of understanding of ESRI ArcGIS products and online services or other comparable GIS products
Experience with programming languages (.NET, Java, Python, C++, or Web programming frameworks such as XML Soap, REST, etc.)
Advanced use and administration of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Informix, DB2)
