Senior Industry Manager, Utilities and Telecommunications
Infrastructure Solutions Division

Job Description
The Senior Industry Manager will be responsible for developing, delivering and driving Autodesk’s next generation Enterprise GIS Solutions for the global utilities and telecommunications markets, and for meeting revenue goals associated with those Solutions.
The position will give the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to strengthen, develop and manage solution-lines from conception through execution and delivery.

Responsibilities
Business Planning/Market Analysis:
The Sr. Industry Manager must have the ability to research and identify market opportunities, quantify and qualify them, develop a business case, conduct competitive analysis, create revenue and pricing models, set channel and sales strategy, write a business plan and execute against it.



Product Management:
The Sr. Industry Manager will work in tandem with Product Management to ensure that the solution features and functionalities meet market requirements. He or she will have a high level of customer interaction and will be heavily involved in the product requirements gathering process. The Sr. Industry Manager will also work closely with Marketing to ensure accurate and compelling messaging, positioning, and sales support materials.



Business Development:
The Sr. Industry Manager will be responsible for identifying go-to-market partners. He or she will conduct a gap analysis of in-house Solution offering, define required partnerships, build a business case, quantify the value of the partnership in a financial model, negotiate the business deal and ensure the partnership is well managed and delivers on set metrics and revenue goals.



Execution:
The Sr. Industry Manager will lead a large cross-functional team composed of Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Consulting Services, Sales Engineers, Field Marketing, and Product Support. He or she must be highly process-oriented, data-driven, detail-oriented, customer-focused and have strong execution skills. He or she needs to be able to communicate well, be a confident leader, and lead the entire team to deliver against aggressive goals.


Requirements
The position requires core skills in business planning/market analysis, product management, business development, and project management/execution.
Subject matter expertise in GIS infrastructure design, operations, purchasing, and management issues for the electric utility and/or telecommunications industries is required.
Ideal candidate will have 7 – 10 years of experience in product management/business development in Enterprise Solutions directed at the utilities and telecommunications market segments. MBA preferred.
