First American Proxix Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of First American Real Estate Spatial Solutions, is a rapidly growing software company that specializes in developing and implementing local intelligence solutions. Proxix software and database solutions add location data to enterprise applications to deliver actionable information for decision support.
Proxix is seeking a Director of Sales to help expand business in the geospatial and location intelligence services and software market.
Responsibilities:
• Prospect and close new business, grow existing business, manage the overall relationship of assigned accounts and ensure extreme customer satisfaction
• Sell solutions to new or existing customers to achieve or exceed revenue goals
• Contact and visit prospective customers to determine solution requirements and provide sales presentations
• Execute a defined sales process model
• Understand Proxix solutions and clearly articulate the solution benefits to prospective customers
• Identify new business opportunities and retain existing relationships by working with company management, business development strategists, marketing and technical support personnel to prioritize those opportunities and integrate them into the account plan
• Build and maintain customer relationships at all levels (through and including President/CEO), utilizing Proxix resources to ensure Proxix has high visibility with the account
• Prepare written presentations and activity reports
• Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, products, and market needs
Percentage of travel required: 10-25%
Work Location: Position may reside from a home office/remote work location.

Job Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Proven track record of sales success and consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals
• Strong ability to develop a professional rapport with stakeholders and ‘C’ level decision makers, overcome objections and persuade while maintaining a dynamic and professional demeanor and presence over the phone and in person
• Excellent judgment, listening skills, organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Charismatic/executive demeanor
• Ability to build effective relationships
• Experience with Location Intelligence, geo-spatial tools and processes preferred
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors Degree in Business or related field or equivalent directly related experience
• Minimum 5 years outside software sales experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience selling into the P&C insurance industry required
• Specific sales training a plus
• Vertical experience a plus (i.e., Insurance, GIS)
