Leading small to medium (i.e. < $50,000) GIS needs assessments or other GIS consulting activities such as strategic plans, upgrade evaluations, etc.
Leading group and individual discussions with clients to gather data
Evaluating requirements and developing conceptual designs for systems and applications that will address requirements
Substantially supporting business process modeling efforts
Developing hardware/software recommendations and specifications
Possibly assisting with the development of hardware and/or software testing algorithms, and performing testing
Conceptualizing and designing moderately to very complex databases of, including designs that incorporate spatial data
Reviewing data sources for moderately to very complex project activities and recommending approaches for data conversion, migration/manipulation, quality control, quality assurance, etc. (for review by others)
Developing conceptual designs for applications or performing coding for portions of applications, or for simple applications in their entirety
Possibly duplicating and modifying existing applications for new clients, particularly browser-based applications
Possibly developing application testing plans and testing applications
Supporting end users for specific applications
Training CDM staff and clients, in one-on-one or group situations
Managing projects up to $250K, with a total management load of about $250K in revenue annually
Contributing to monthly workloads process for their projects
Identifying and tracking follow-on work opportunities through leads tracking process
On production manager track, overseeing the work of 3 to 7 interns and/or junior GIS staff
Fielding GIS support requests and directing appropriate work to production staff, handling higher level requests personally, and/or shipping to other production centers
Contributing monthly to workloads process
On business development track, assisting with proposals and participating in interviews

Job Requirements
B.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. in computer science, geography, geology, engineering, planning, mathematics, government, or a related field
Four years experience applying GIS technology with B.S., or 3 years with M.S.
Familiarity with most or all of the following tools: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, UML Tools, ArcInfo 9.x, ArcEditor 9.x, ArcView 9.x, ArcGIS Extensions, Model Builder, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcPad, GPS Unit, Internet Explorer, VBA for ArcGIS, ArcIMS, Autodesk MapGuide, Avenue, Visual Stuido 2005, VM Ware.
Competence in HTML, Javascript, Visual Basic/VBA programming
Strict attention to detail where errors are not easily corrected Excellent time management skills
