Job Description

Use your technical knowledge and experience executing test plans to help build a solid GIS DBMS product. In this role you will be part of ensuring high quality releases and ongoing product support on specific platforms.

Responsibilities
• Be the focal point for feedback on user problems and manage all patch and maintenance releases to address issues that arise
• Execute test plans to verify that the application functions according to expected results and requirements
• Help solve DBMS-specific issues by identifying problems, cataloging defects, and reporting test status
• Contribute to the development of test automation scripts
• Design build scripts, build environment, and build procedures used to create software products
• Provide day-to-day support to end users for software tool installations and bug tracking issues
• Work closely with product development teams to identify and prioritize key bugs

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, GIS, or relevant field, depending upon position level
• A minimum of three years of experience defining and executing test processes
• Solid knowledge and expertise in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, or DB2
• Strong technical writing and organization skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop agreements for task assignments and scheduling and encouraging collaboration

Recommended Qualifications
• Knowledge of GIS or ESRI’s software products
• Familiarity with database technology including database access APIs, charting, and reporting
• Experience with batch file scripting, test tool development (C/C++, VB, etc.), and automated test tools
