Job Description

Our Client is a leading provider of digital map data for location-based solutions for outdoor recreation, inland lake and marine navigation activities.

The Business Development Manager: Is responsible for the management and development of relationships and partnerships with key manufacturers and OEM's that incorporate the company's technology in their products. Will develop partnerships with Cell Phone Manufacturers, Wireless Product Manufacturers (of smart phones, PDA, GPS hand held Devices and Networks and Marine Navigational Product Manufacturers.


Duties:
a) Manage assigned business sector activities with the company’s existing and new OEM clients, as instructed by the Business Development Director.
b) Identify, structure and execute strategic technology and business partnership opportunities
c) Create business proposals, negotiate and close development contracts and administer their execution.
d) Investigate, analyze and communicate business opportunities within the Strategic Business Unit, to secure new development opportunities with existing and new OEMs.
e) Assist in development of new revenue streams from OEM project work and enhancements to the company's cartography products.
f) Administer new and existing contracts and royalty agreements, track progress of key activities in OEM projects.
g) Consult, advise and assist senior executive management abroad and USA offices and assist marketing and sales in a support activity as required.
h) US and International travel is required (25-30%)
Skills:
a) This position requires strong interpersonal skills in a professional environment and strong writing and communication skills. This person must be able to execute strategic priorities in a timely manner. Knowledge of contract proposal and administration, finance and electronic technology is necessary. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project is necessary. The person must be able to execute defined objectives and negotiate at senior manager level. Must be able to work in an international business environment and work empathetically with different cultures. This position is exposed to internal and customer confidential information and discretion is essential.
b) Additionally, knowledge in marketing and in foreign languages is desirable.

Job Requirements

Experience:
a) 5+ years industrial experience in increasingly responsible roles with proven skills in business development, market analysis, customer relationship management, negotiation, contract administration, program administration, and project management. Experience in GIS technology and production processes is desirable.
b) Experience with embedded software and hardware electronic systems and the consumer electronics industry are desirable.
c) Telematics / location-based services in mobile phone industries is desirable
d) Analytical/spreadsheet skills in budgeting, P&L

Education:
A Bachelors degree in a technical or business field is required, a master’s degree is desirable.

Eligibility: The candidate must provide proof of authorization to work in the USA, as a condition of employment.


Base Salary depending upon experience will range from $90-$110K plus bonus up to 30% Full benefits.
