Job Description

Use sound judgement and initiative to promote, market and sell ESRI based products and services. Role specifics include:
• Prepare and implement marketing plans in alignment with company Business Plan.
• Develop new sales leads / maximise business penetration in existing accounts.
• Assist with sales quotes, invoicing, order processing.
• Meet quarterly and yearly sales targets.
• Carry out market research, competitor analysis and customer surveys.
• Maintain and develop company literature / monthly newsletter.
• Order and manage marketing material, prepare materials where necessary.
• Prepare presentations and demonstrations of GIS software.
• Plan and organize events such as seminars, roll-out seminars, GIS Day and exhibitions
• Prepare articles/advertisements and organize for publishing in various industry-specific magazines, including company newsletter.
• Maintain customer relations management and prospects databases.
• Promote training schedules and enlist participants to courses.
• Prepare reports as required.
• Assist in other distributorship activities as directed.
• Manage content for company website.

Job Requirements

Selection criteria for the position are:

Essential
• Tertiary qualifications in marketing, Geospatial technology or equivalent.
• A proven record of success in IT/GIS solution marketing and sales.
• An understanding of business issues, not just technical product knowledge.
• Demonstrable solution selling skills.
• An ability to manage all aspects of the sales cycle, including accurate reporting and forecasting of the individual sales pipeline.
• An ability to identify, develop, qualify and plan business opportunities, needs, and value propositions with existing or new customers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable
• Experience with MS Office and computer peripherals.
• Knowledge of the ESRI suite of software.
