Spot Image (www.spot.com) is a leading provider of high resolution, high quality satellite imagery to Federal, Civilian and Defense clients worldwide for more than 20 years.
We are looking for a senior level sales professional with 5 - 10 years of sales experience and a demonstrated track record of sales success to sell our advanced suite of imaging solutions and services to Federal & State Agencies as well as commercial enterprises that have satellite imaging requirements for land use survey, monitoring, exploration and development within the oil & gas, mining, real estate and insurance vertical markets.
The ideal candidate is an independent, self starter, who is able to manage and balance existing sales opportunities with current clients as well as identify and develop opportunities with new prospects. Familiarity with the government sales, procurement and budget processes is desired. Experience with geospatial solutions or related data products and services is preferred. We place a strong emphasis on relationship-building with clients and partners. This position has a travel requirement of approximately 35%, which may include international destinations. The successful candidate will work out of the U.S. headquarters office in Chantilly, VA.
Spot Image operates the 3 satellite SPOT constellation and has the exclusive rights to distribute data from the Formosat 2 satellite in the United States. Spot Image has announced plans to launch the Pleiades constellation of high resolution satellites in 2009 & 2010 and is developing the SPOT 6 constellation satellites for launch in 2011.
