Job Description

I.M. Systems Group, Inc. (IMSG) www.imsg.com is looking to hire a Water Quality Biological Technician to work at the NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Southwest Region in Santa Rosa, California. This is a six (6) month contract to begin in August 2008 and some work can be done remotely several days per week with occasional meetings at the Santa Rosa location.

Responsibilities:
• Review and evaluate NEPA and CEQA documents, permit applications, biological assessments and other water quality related documents to determine potential impacts to marine, estuarine, and anadromous fishery resources.
• Provide results of these evaluations to various NMFS staff in the form of oral or written reports or official correspondence.
• Analyze contaminants data and present findings to staff biologists and coordinate with GIS specialist to display results in graphical format.
• Assist NMFS staff with data analysis and create various reports and correspondence

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:
• Experience with eco-toxicology, risk assessment, fish biology or chemistry would be highly desirable.
