CARIS is seeking a results oriented Account Manager to join our high performance and award winning team. Based from our Canadian headquarters, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing new client relationships and managing existing client accounts by identifying and communicating CARIS geospatial solutions that effectively respond to client requirements.
The ability to communicate, present and negotiate successfully with various levels of decision makers within private and public organizations is essential for success in this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Increase sales through the combination of marketing expertise and software knowledge to provide CARIS products and service solutions that give value to new client users
Develop existing client accounts by analyzing client systems, identifying technical challenges, formulating and demonstrating integrated solutions
Build effective working relationships and client loyalty with a focus on superior customer service
Use and build industry knowledge and on-going market analysis to discover potential clients and identify new opportunities
Proactively create business development plans and execute actions to meet and exceed targets
Formulate winning responses to Requests For Proposals
Utilize a high degree of professionalism and excellent communication skills to deliver formal presentations in a confident and persuasive manner.
Attend international conferences and exhibitions to promote and market CARIS technical solutions and services
Manage the complete sales cycle to ensure maximum productivity and completion of sales/pipeline utilizing CRM system
Communicate customer needs through appropriate CARIS channels to promote product development and ensure delivery expectations met
Job Requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage the entire sales cycle in a technical sales environment, including prospecting, proposing, closing, and further developing an existing account potential
Understanding of corporate and/or government decision making and procurement processes
Professional formal presentation skills
Exemplary communication skills – verbal and written
Demonstrated negotiation capabilities, with an ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships
High degree of self-motivation, combined with effective organizational and time management skills
A tenacious approach; and possess a positive attitude toward and ability to effectively adapt to change
Desire for continuous learning
Collaborative team approach to sales and service
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in a geospatial related field
Two or more years of experience with sales and/or marketing technical solutions
Ability and willingness to travel globally
Fluent English language skills
The following would be considered an asset:
Experience with the CARIS product suite and/or experience with similar geospatial software applications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma marketing and/or business administration an asset
Bilingual language capabilities, specifically in French or Spanish
