National Geographic Maps is looking for a productive, enthusiastic individual to help support our professional digital product sales effort in Evergreen, Colorado. The sales support representative works with perspective customers and the NG Maps’ sales team to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
National Geographic Maps offers an award winning line of cartographic products, including TOPO! digital maps. Location information is increasingly important to our agency, commercial, and government users. We are expanding the TOPO! product lines to better support these customers. Specific areas of interest include but not limited to are Emergency Response, Vector Control, Utilities, and Homeland Security
In this position you will be working with government, agency, and commercial clients, primarily by telephone and e-mail. You must be comfortable making cold calls as well as following up on prospects generated by the field sales force. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated sales, marketing, and customer service experience working within the geospatial industry and a good working knowledge of GIS.
Responsibilities include:
•Serve as the primary point of contacts for incoming calls and e-mail related to our professional products
•Send product information, price quotes, and follow up with prospective customers
•F/up by telephone with leads generated by the outside sales team at conferences, tradeshows, etc.
•Research, prospect and qualify potential new TOPO! Pro customers
•Track and work towards quarterly revenue targets
•Work with marketing to insure sales collateral and marketing programs are effective
•Support and possibly attend trade shows and conferences as needed
Job Requirements
BA or BS degree in geography, related field or liberal arts required, along with 2-4 years related sales and marketing experience and a strong working knowledge of GIS and Spatial software industry
•2-3 years relevant sales, marketing or customer service experience, preferably in the Geospatial industry
•BA/BS degree or equivalent
•Strong organizational skills, task oriented, able to work independently
•Strong communication skills, self-motivated
