Position: Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Summary:
As a member of a fast paced, cutting edge geospatial software development team, you will be responsible in setting the quality objective of our products, reviewing requirements and validating products adhere strictly to requirements and specifications. You are also expected to provide technical expertise in domain knowledge and quality procedures & processes
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Involvement in the SDLC from design to release, in a fast paced, quality driven agile environment
-Participate in product requirement walkthrough sessions to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential challenges.
-Design quality objectives and test strategies, implement and execute test cases to ensure highest quality deliverables.
-Involvement in Reviewing/improving of testing processes and automation of test cases
-Report software issues into a database, track and update reports through the SDLC.
-Provide technical expertise to various groups within the organization (Technical Support, Training, Sales...)
Education:
-Bachelor*s degree in geomatics engineering, mapping Science or equivalent education and work experience.

Job Requirements
Required Expertise:
-A solid understanding of photogrammetric theory and principles
-Hands on experience in all phases of photogrammetric workflows (terrain extraction and editing, ortho mosaicing, and feature extraction *)
-Experience working with commercial satellite imageries.
-Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet firm deadlines
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills as exemplified by clear issue explanations, documentation and effective intra- and inter-group communications.
Desired Expertise:
-Solid understanding of NGA foundation data types (specs, production process, data content) * CIB, DPPDB, FFD, UFD, VMAP/UVMAP, DNC, DTED, HRTI, ICM
-Substantial direct experience with all aspects of producing NGA foundation data products. This includes project and data preparation, data ingestion/processing, collection, finishing
-Experience in designing production workflows, process improvements and software evaluations
-Experience in designing and executing QA/QC of products
-Familiarity with Software test Automation tools.
Others:
-Must be capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance.
-Familiar with ArcGIS, LPS and other COTS geoprocessing packages
