Job Description

Applied Geographics, Inc. (AppGeo) has an opening in our Manchester office and seeks a talented and motivated person to join the company’s GIS consulting team as a Technical Project Manager. The successful applicant will join a professional staff focused on planning and applying GIS and related technologies to satisfy specific customer needs such as metadata management, applications development and enterprise architecture.

This position entails both hands-on GIS software skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills are required for both direct customer interaction and acting as a liaison between the client and AppGeo specialists (i.e. data development and programming staff). Applicants should also have very strong knowledge of system integration and software specifications and have a minimum of 5 years of experience with the ESRI suite of software products, SQL Server and/or Oracle RDBMS.

Job Requirements

Applicants should have working knowledge of implementing GIS for both public and private sectors and in some or all of the following areas: system planning; data collection methods; database and application configuration; tax parcel and utility mapping, as well as other Internet and desktop applications of GIS (e.g. public safety, permitting, etc.).

Candidates should have, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to GIS and 5 years of professional experience. Project management credentials (e.g. budgeting, scheduling, customer relationship management and business development) are highly desirable. Some out-of-state travel required. Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Please email your resume and a cover letter to TechPM@appgeo.com. No calls please. Your cover letter should document your citizenship status and salary expectations.
