Senior GIS Applications Programmer (GISbiz, Inc.)

Applicant should be able to independently develop enterprise GIS software applications (for both web and desktop platforms) by taking responsibility for all phases of software life-cycle starting with needs analysis and up to implementation, training and support.

Mandatory requirements:
•5 Years experience in developing software applications (Web & Desktop) on .Net platform using VB.Net or C#.Net, ASP.Net, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server TSQL, Ajax, XML, Java Script and related technologies.
•3 years experience in developing GIS Software applications (Web & Desktop) on ESRI ArcGIS platform using ArcGIS Server/ ArcGIS Desktop / ArcObjects/ ArcSDE
•2 Years experience in Oracle Spatial
•2 years experience in modeling tools such as Visio.
•Extensive experience in using good programming practices and latest technologies.
•Willingness and ability for continuous learning of new technologies
•Excellent Communication skills
•US Citizen or Green Card holder

“Preferred” skills:
•Bachelors degree in Computer science or equivalent
•Some formal education in Geography or equivalent
•Experience in any other programming platforms such as PHP, Java, Python, Flex, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PostGRESQL etc.
•Experience in any other mapping technologies such as Open source Map server, Open Layers, GeoServer, Google Earth/Map, Virtual Earth, Intergraph Geomedia, Map Info, mapguide, GE Smallworld etc.
•Experience in graphic design or ability to create good looking user interfaces
