Job Function

Computerized mapping, development of spatial/tabular databases, production of GIS maps and models, and related functions. Such as, updates and maintains various layers and databases using GIS software; digitizes or scans maps/drawings; performs data conversion and coordinates system conversions; analyzes and reviews GIS needs; analyzes problems and recommends improvements and/or modifications to GIS; prepares maps, tabular reports, graphs and charts; interprets data; provides technical assistance to other GIS and/or non-GIS staff; assists in training GIS personnel and other staff; attends and/or participates in professional organizations; performs spatial analysis of geographic data; produces hard copies of data analysis; performs system functions such as backups and file transfers; performs quality control; translates data from other formats to ARCGIS and/or Arc View; designs, Management, thematic mapping, geo-statistical analysis, spatial Analysis, Spatial Modeling, project execution and giving training on geographical information systems and global positioning systems and its applications.
