Account Manager - Government/Defence/Geospatial Solutions SEAPac

Position Overview:

- Reporting to the Industry Solutions Director (ISD), this role works closely with a diverse team of both sales and technical professionals located in Australia, New Zealand and SE Asia;

- Sales portfolio aligned to the Government/Defence/Geospatial portfolio with responsibility for establishing, building and leading activities in the Government sector/s for Australia, and coordinating and driving Geospatial Platform sales into other verticals in Australia;

- Breakdown of the sales profile for this position is 30% hunting and 70% farming opportunities;

- Primarily tasked to generate sales revenue to meet or exceed established sales goals in software products, services, training and subscriptions (solution sales).

- Identify and evaluate opportunities in the assigned account base, and to manage the relationship between the client and Bentley Systems including marketing and maximizing exposure and awareness of existing or new business solutions. May have Global Accounts allocated in the role.

- Growing new business whilst also maintaining global and local account plans

- Demonstrate leadership and support to the ISD with vertical, channel and regional sales planning

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

- Passionate solutions professional with proven success in growing accounts by taking a business development focus in Government, GIS/IT, software and/or engineering industry

- Preference for experience in survey management/Cadastre/GIS/Mapping sectors and solutions

- Embraces a strong consultative approach when selling at a solution level

- Confident & articulate when presenting - able to engage a diverse client range and audience.

- Comfortable and a track record of dealing with senior management including C-level within the account base.

- Experience in working with sales management tracking databases

- Proficient in Microsoft office

- Flexible & confident to work across diverse time zones. International exposure is an advantage.

- Willing to travel, mainly within Australia and some SE Asia and New Zealand

- MBA, BSc or Business, Engineering or associated Technology qualification is ideal
