NASA SBIR (2008):  A GIS software toolkit for converting NASA HDF-EOS data products to GIS and other geospatial formats.

A GIS software toolkit was built that allows the user to convert NASA HDF-EOS data into formats that can be readily used within ArcGIS. The HDF-EOS toolbar allows a user to reformat, re-project, and perform geospatial operations on NASA EOS data. This toolkit was designed to improve upon current HDF conversion tools and was packaged as a software extension for ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.3 suite of products.

Spatial Distribution of Cancer Incidence in Milwaukee, WI.

A model was developed to predict the spatial distribution of cancer incidence in the Milwaukee MSA.  The model utilized patient data supplied by the client, physician’s data, census data, and cancer incidence data obtained from the Center for Disease Control (CDC).  Maps showing the predicted spatial distribution of cancer incidence were provided to CTCA, to help guide their marketing activities in the region.
