Project : AREA-01(team size-20 members)
Description : GPS attached Vehicle is being run on the roads for the
Survey. The video coverage’s are downloaded and run on 3D Software. Network is being digitized for the sections.
Project : Omni surveyor (team size-25 members)
Description : Collection asset using a client provided software (omni). Collected assets re-shaped and alined using GIS software as per land data or base map.
Project : Routing (team size-10 members)
Description : Routing is a process of setting (assigning) the order for the sections that is to be surveyed by the ARAN Survey Vehicle.
Routing process supplies the following information for the ARAN Survey Vehicle,
a. The information on order of sections lies in the route file.
b. The sections that needs to be surveyed
c. Route information with the order of survey.
d. Route information with the start and end direction of the survey.
e. Colored route maps with the start and end points of the map.
f. Helps in survey more routes or section in less time avoiding the duplication of survey route.
g. Helps data processor to identify the file which contains the surveyed route data stored.
h. Cover more area of survey in less time.
Routing also gives the information to the ARAN Processor to survey the given network in less possible time and with minimum travel of vehicle.
Project : Scanner (team size-35 members)
Description : SCANNER elaborated as surface condition assessment of national network of roads. SCANNER surveys are machine based surveys that make a number of different measurements and process the measurements to provide a number of “parameters” that describe the condition of the road surface.
SCANNER surveys have been developed by the UK Roads Board to provide a consistent method of measuring the pavement condition of road carriageways, using automated
Road condition survey machines, throughout the United Kingdom.
SCANNER survey is the prescribed method of survey in UK for A, B & C class of roads.
YottaDCL is a leading asset collection company, conducts Scanner survey with the proprietary vehicle ARAN procured from Roadware Group Inc, Canada. DCIL (Data Collection InfoTech (India) Private Limited) processes all the data collected by the ARAN vehicle of YottaDCL-UK & provides the software support for DCL.
By processing the scanner data we can analyze the Road Surface condition for the future road developments. Details studies on roads give you better improvement on minimizations on road defect.
Processed data is supported for the Best value performance Indicator (BVPI) for Highway maintenance and used by UKPMS for better expenditure on road repairs.
Field survey Project: (team size-30 members)
I I handled a team working on Field survey (of Building, roads and electrical & telecom tower assets) for Tele Atlas Kalyani India Ltd.
Working involved collection of information on assets including geo coordinates. This collected data was further processed in ArcGIS.
