The Toldedo Blade July 11 is suing the city to gain access to a map used by police to document and combat gang violence. The paper feels the map should be public under the state public records act. The city feels differently.
The city responded to the request saying that the map would not be made available because it is "actively being used" and labeled it a "confidential law enforcement investigatory record," the complaint said.
An updated, interactive vineyards map with several helpful features can now be found on the new Lake County [CA] Winegrape Commission website, www.lakecountywinegrape.org.Winegrape Commis-sion Chair Peter Molnar enlisted the talents of Daniel Opalacz, creator of vinosum.com, an online wine-mapping project. The mapmaker's work enables the Commission to be the first to have high resolution, fast processing soil and geology maps integrated into its countywide vineyard map.
