-- TomTom Business Solutions, the division dedicated to commercial fleets, today announced that Chen Medical, a primary care service providing medical care to residents of southern Florida, has increased the carrying capacity of its fleet by 30 percent using the TomTom PRO 7150 and TomTom HD Traffic solutions.
 
Chen Medical transports an average of 300 patients per day, using a fleet of 12 vehicles.  Scheduling is built around the ability to accurately provide on-time transportation so that medical staff can anticipate a patient’s arrival and departure times, with each driver performing 20 pick-ups on a typical day.

Using the TomTom PRO 7150, Garneff and his team are able to calculate the fastest routes to help drivers spend less time on the road.  The PRO 7150 features traffic updates that help drivers avoid traffic delays and TomTom IQ Routes, which evaluates routes based on actual traffic speeds rather than posted speed limits. It also is able to recommend the fastest route for any particular time of day.  And because TomTom’s products integrate easily with Route Solutions, the leading route planning offering, it is easy for the transportation staff to select the best routes in advance to accurately plan departure and arrival times.
