SAN RAMON, Calif., Aug. 28, 2012 Accela, Inc., the leading provider of web- and cloud-based software exclusively for government, today announced that Accela Code Officer™ mobile app for government Code Enforcement Officers has been released for the iOS mobile platform. Code Officer is the fourth in a growing suite of Accela mobile apps that are part of the Accela ‘Platform4Gov,’ a framework for increasing government productivity and citizen engagement on top of Accela’s foundational technology.

“Accela Code Officer is an important addition to government’s first-ever suite of mobile apps,” said Accela CEO and President Maury Blackman. “Joining Accela’s other mobile apps (Accela Analytics™, Accela Inspector™, and Accela Work Crew™), the release of Code Officer is the next example of our goal to provide apps for every role. It also confirms Accela’s commitment as government’s technology partner for increased productivity and cost reduction.”

Accela Code Officer Provides Entirely New Type of Support to Code Enforcement Officers

In addition, the app permits officers and other staff to:

  • Utilize intuitive user interfaces optimized for touch
  • View case locations on a map containing agency-defined layers
  • Perform sweeps and trace paths on a map
  • Create cases
  • View assigned cases
  • Search for cases and inspections and add them to a personal list
  • Save Searches for easy access

The Accela Code Officer app can be downloaded at the Apple iTunes Store. Anyone can preview the app for free. Accela customers can download and use the app at no extra cost if their agency has an Accela mobile license.
