Three year old Skout is a location-based flirting/dating app that was first aimed at adults. Last year it began offering a version for 13-17 year olds. That's when trouble began. On Tuesday, after three allegations of sexual assault in the last two week (all by adult men posing as teens) the company suspended the site to add enhanced security tools.

The latest in location-based goodies from Twitter? The opportunity to narrow your trending topics to a geography and/or who you follow. The geo options list includes more than 150 locations, including 34 countries and nearly 60 major U.S. cities. It's the default on ones trends list on the Web and mobile, but can be changed back to "the world" with a click.
Some of the geo announcements from Apple WWDC on Monday got lost in the shuffle.
Apple introduced the Reminders app in iOS 5, and it looks to score some helpful updates in iOS 6. Apple says that you'll be able to set location-based reminders from the iPad. Even better, you'll be able to tap in addresses where you'd like to be reminded manually, a feature currently missing from Reminders; at present, you can only set reminders for locations linked to addresses for your existing contacts.
