MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012, the largest and most important gathering of the geospatial industry in Latin America, held May 29 thru 31 at the Frei Caneca Convention Center in Sao Paulo (SP),  Brazil, will recognize top professionals, institutions, companies and top brands.  The Award Ceremony of MundoGEO#Connect 2012, for the prizewinners of each category, will take place on May 29th, starting at 6pm. In total, there were over 9,000 valid votes, a lot more than the 2,600 votes obtained in 2011, the first event version of the Awards. This increase in the number of votes was the result of greater involvement of the Brazilian market at the awards, and the active participation of votes from all over Latin America, on the most recognized global brands.

MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012 is the largest annual event in the area of geomatics and geospatial solutions in Latin America and will take place between May 29 and 31 at the Frei Caneca Convention Center in Sao Paulo (SP), Brasil. With the theme "Sharing information for a better world", the expectation is to bring together 10,000 people in the sector, between participants in the seminars, forums and courses, the expo visitors and people connected via webinar and social networks. The event is organized by MundoGEO, with the support of IBGE, Emplasa, Sao Paulo City Hall, Embrapa Satellite Monitoring, Ministry of Defense of Geographical Service, among others. Internationally, the event has the support of OGC, ISPRS, GITA, Directions Magazine, GIM International, V1 Magazine, Professional Surveyor and Geo Connexion. The first edition of MundoGEO#Connect took place between June 14 and 16 of 2011 in Sao Paulo (SP), Brazil, bringing together over 7,500 people.
