Visualizing Hubway Data in QGIS and other Open Source/Open Data GIS News

The Free and Open Source GIS Ramblings Blog has a series of posts on visualizing Boston's bike sharing program data in QGIS. One question: do people ride downhill more than uphill? I live in Somerville, we must do both. I wrote about the Hubway Visualization Challenge earlier this month (APB coverage).

Digital Mapping Solutions (DMS) recently announced the introduction of commercial training and support packages for the free Quantum GIS (QGIS) package, throughout Australia and New Zealand.

You can sign up to get more info, but there's no date or location yet. There is this description. 
The OSM Commercial Users Conference will be an intimate event to discuss the opportunities & challenges when using OpenStreetMap in a commercial setting with others in a similar position.
