By Adena Schutzberg

Esri’s interactive Wildfire Public Information Map shows active fire and perimeter information from USGS and MODIS, current wind conditions from NOAA, and active FEMA shelters. There's also access to geotagged social media from Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr. Esri notes this new version of the wildfire map uses a responsive design to ensure it embeds smoothly at any size. It's below.

Google also provides a map showing active and contained fires, but also shelters, traffic and weather data., but it's focused on resources to help the displaced and those worried about those living in the area.
