LizardTech Releases Updated GeoViewer Application

Now with support for iPhone and iPod Touch devices

SEATTLE, Wash. — Dec. 13, 2012 — LizardTech®, a provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, today released an update to its free GeoViewer application for Apple iOS devices, designed to view geospatial imagery and vector overlays.

With this latest application, iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch users will be able to view their imagery in MrSID® and JPEG 2000 formats. Like the previous GeoViewer for iPad, this user friendly application includes measurement functionality and geolocation support and has intuitive tools for band selection and coordinate display.  For those needing to rapidly view image layers from WMS servers, an in-application purchase adding WMS support is available for $4.99.
