Overview

RealityChart™ is AGS’ advanced 3D bathymetric visualisation package. This exciting new product was developed in line with a number of governmental and naval institutions to ensure that it is fit-for-purpose. In addition to defence use, the software is available as a standalone product for use within the commercial and consumer marine markets.

RealityChart™ builds upon the power of RealityMap™ by adding the ability to visualise under the sea-surface. Multiple data sources can be merged, analysed and queried.

Powerful 3D Bathymetric Visualisation

RealityChart™ can visualise unlimited extents of the seabed, incorporating gigabytes of surveyed bathymetric data from multiple sources (e.g. sonar or LiDAR), marine charts, vector and 3D object data. The software can import all major formats of chart and bathymetry data straight from data collection in all major coordinate systems and projections. This allows the user to visualise and explore the seabed using the clear and logical user interfaces developed for RealityMap™.

Market Leading Performance

As with the entire Reality™ suite of products, RealityChart™ has market leading performance on standard computers with no need for advanced hardware. Data can stored locally, on a network storage device or streamed across the internet. RealityChart™ uses AGS’ proprietary format for handling complex surfaces to ensure that the seabed is modelled as precisely as possible.

Main Markets

Defence and Homeland Security

RealityChart™ is suitable for Maritime (both surface and sub-surface) strategic and tactical mission planning and rehearsal, battlespace visualisation, training and simulation, navigation within port and harbour areas, coast guard, immigration control, as well as search and rescue.

Due to the nature of AGS’ products to model truly global 3D, RealityChart™ can be combined with RealityMap™ and seamlessly used for the Joint environment encompassing Air, Land and Maritime operations.

Commercial

RealityChart™ is compatible with GPS systems. The software can be used by shipping companies to visualise their global assets from an operations centre as well as on-board to visualise their environment during poor weather conditions. RealityChart™ can also be linked to RealityMobile™ to provide an integrated navigation device. Detailed and high performance seabed modelling allows RealityChart™ to be used for oil, gas and mineral exploration.

Consumer

RealityChart™ can be purchased as a navigation device for marine leisure users to install in their craft. This allows them to visualise their surroundings or holiday destinations and plan routes and trips for excursions.
